Most of the Nepalese community schools are facing the problem of text book. Scarcity of text books are mainly found in the nine eastern districts of Nepal like Dhanusa, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Sindhuli, Siraha, Saptari, Udaypur, Okhaldhunga and Khotang districts. Even the passage of three months since the new academic year began, community school students in such region are not receiving the course text books.
Some of the students who can afford, have photocopied their text book borrowing the book neighboring districts. Many of the students are still hopping to receive the text book soon and continue the lesson according to session plan.
Sajha Publications’ branch office in Janakpur is the responsible state-owned organization that supply the government approved and printed course text books in above mentioned districts.
Raj Kishore Yadave, the Chief of the branch office accepted the inability of his office to supply the texts books on time.
Binod Shaha, proprietor of the Saraswati Pustak Sadan in Janakpur has not been able to receive the text books even depositing the payment for the books before three months.
