Google’s Digital Afterlife service will preserve your emails, personal chat logs etc. forever and these materials will only be used according to your digital will.
For the smooth commencement and running of Digital Afterlife service, Google has started to do ask its users about how would they like Google to preserve their digital data and information. In this new service of Google, the Inactive Google Accounts Manager may ask for the digital data and information owned by the users of inactive and deleted Google accounts.
From now on, a new option will be added in the ‘Account Settings’ page of Google users. In this option, the users will be able to give permission to share data of any family member or friend. The Google users will even be able to delete their accounts and not share their digital data and information with other users. After that, the Google user will be able to share his/her data to maximum ten users even after his death. Then the users who receive the data will be able to use that data as their wish.
Google has also introduced ‘Burn’ option for its users which will enable the users to delete their data after their death.
