Since the number of companies in Nepal is increasing everyday, many companies are offering IPOs in Nepali stock market in order to gain sufficient capital for their running. Below is a list of 13 companies which are soon offering IPOs in Nepali Stock Market:
1. Joshi Hydropower Development Company Limited
Joshi Hydropower Development Company Limited, as the first phase of its stock allocation, is planning to offer stock worth 37,100,000 rupees (371,000 units) for the locals residing near its hydropower project.
2. Mailung Khola Hydropower Company Limited
736,286 units of share costing Rs. 100/unit will be offered by Mailung Khola Hydropower Company Limited in the near future. This means that the total worth of the stock that will be offered by the company is 73,626,600 rupees.
3. Mountain Hydro Nepal Limited
Mountain Hydro Nepal Limited, a hydropower company, has applied for the permission to offer IPO stock worth 125,000,000 rupees, i.e. 1,250,000 units of share.
4. Rairang Hydropower Development Company Limited
Rairang Hydropower Development Company Limited has begun its preparations to offer 840,000 units of IPO stock of worth 84,000,000 rupees.
5. Ghalemdi Hydro Limited
Ghalemdi Hydro Limited (G.H.L.) has planned to offer IPO stock of worth rupees 55,000,000 to the local people residing near its hydropower project.
6. Subham Power Limited
According to Subham Power Limited, they are planning to offer 600,000 units of IPO stock in the market. Among the 600,000 units, 200,000 units will be allocated to the local people who have been affected by the company’s project and the remaining 400,000 units will be sold to the public, staffs and mutual funds.
7. Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Limited
Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Limited, a subsidiary company of Panchakanya Group, has finally received the permission to float its 10% stock to the local people of Ilam, where the company’s 12MW Upper Mai and 6.1MW Upper Mai ‘C’ hydropower projects have been setup. The stock will be sold to the people of Sandakpur rural municipality and Ilam municipality. 110,000 units of share, each costing Rs. 100 will be sold.
8. Sanjen Jalavidyut Company Private Limited
A subsidiary of Chilime Hydropower Company, Sanjen Jalavidyut Company Private Limited, has received the permission to float 8,760,000 units of IPO, each costing Rs. 100, in the first phase. However, the public will not be allowed to apply for the stock.
9. Laughing Buddha Power Nepal Limited
For the people living in its project affected areas, Laughing Buddha Power Nepal Limited will be allocating 978,000 units of share in the days to come.
10. Union Hydropower Private Limited
This hydropower company has planned to offer stocks of worth 250 million rupees to the public.
11. CEDB Hydro Fund Limited
CEDB Hydro Fund Limited, founded by the then Clean Energy Development Bank (now NMB Bank Limited) in 2009, is very soon floating 1,761,000 units of share for the public.
12. Kalika Power Company Limited
KPCL, in the rate of Rs. 100 per unit, is planning to float 1 million 80 thousand units of share in the market, among which 6 hundred thousand units will be allocated to the local people residing near its project areas and the remaining 1 million 2 thousand units will be sold to the public.
13. Unique Hydel Company Limited
Unique Hydel Company Limited is issuing a stock of worth rupees 55 million 5 hundred thousand for the people residing near its project affected areas.
