On the first day of the week, impressive progress has been seen in the NEPSE index. Today, the NEPSE index increased by 7.97 points and reached 1431.80 points. Likewise, the sensitive index increased by 1.73 points to reach 301.39 points.
Among the 3,985 transactions of 157 companies, altogether 751,039 units were sold and bought, leading to the transaction amount of 361,625,129 rupees.
Today, there were transactions of 10 groups, among which the index of ‘Trading’ group remained constant, whereas progress has been seen in the indices of the other seven groups and decrement has been seen in the indices of the remaining two. The index of ‘Commercial Banks’ group increased by 1.85 points to reach 1233.76 points and the worth of the transactions occurred is 131,927,000 rupees.
4.2 points’ increment was seen in the ‘Hydropower’ group and this led to 1919.95 points. The total worth of transactions occurred in this group is 24,340,200 rupees. In the ‘Insurance’ group, the index increased by 165.87 points and hence, the index reached to 471.10 points. The total worth of transactions occurred is 97,447,800 rupees.
Similarly, the indices of the groups like Hotels, Development Banks, Productive and Microfinance have increased too. However, the indices of Finance and Other groups have decreased by minor points.
The highest gainer of today is Multipurpose Finance Company Limited, whereas the highest loser is First Microfinance Development Bank‘s founders’ share. On the basis of the financial transaction, Nepal Life Insurance Company has taken the first position.
